Alongside the accreditation of existing university course content to ensure education is fit for purpose, SBID also produced modules for application to BA degree courses in interior design to address industry-identified gaps between education and professional practice. SBID are the only professional interior design body to create BA adopted course modules.
As part of SBID’s aim to ensure the Interior Design industry prepares emerging designers with the correct learning tools and skills to become professional interior designers, SBID created Centres of Excellence. Universities with ‘Centre of Excellence’ status are a hub for sharing research and knowledge at all levels for championing excellence in interior design.
