SBID Student Design Competition

The SBID student design competition launched in 2018 in collaboration with Be Open to give students a life changing opportunity to win £30,000 cash!

A competition designed for final year and graduate creative student studying Interior Design, Product Design, Interior Decoration, Fashion, or Art & Design. Students also nominated their tutor for the chance to receive the Visionary Tutor Award 2018.

About the Competition:

In collaboration with recognised SBID universities, with the support of industry members, sponsors and our competition partner, Be Open Think Tank; students across the creative industries were invited to submit their end of year project and propose their course leader with the aim of winning coveted prizes.

SBID created this new life changing, equal opportunity design competition in a bid to showcase emerging talent in each industry as well as providing the link in nurturing relationships between those in study and the working industry.

Judges and sponsors presented the overall winner with a cash prize of £30,000; five category winners with £1,000 each and gave university recognition at the awards ceremony held on 29 November 2019 at the House of Commons in London.
