As part of SBID’s aim to ensure the interior design industry prepares emerging designers with the relevant learning tools, skills and knowledge to become professional interior designers, SBID established Centres of Excellence in key destinations throughout the UK.
SBID Centres of Excellence are regional hubs to share research and knowledge, as well as give opportunities for students to engage and network with interior design professionals and potential future employers; from student design competitions and mentoring opportunities, to guest talks from the design experts.
To become a ‘Centre of Excellence’, educational establishments must have already achieved SBID Accredited status for its Interior Design related BA or MA courses and share in SBID’s vision, values and commitment to improving professionalism in the interior design industry.
SBID is a recognised body for accreditation across the interior design profession, offering emerging interior designers a pathway to achieve professional Accreditation.
