Perched on the banks of Regent’s Canal, Little Venice sees the transformation of an antiquated bathroom into an eclectic pink and green sanctuary, as envisioned by the C.P. Hart Design team through its award-winning Design Service.
The bathroom of Little Venice is an intimate space that required careful design consideration to fully optimise the floor plan. Working in close collaboration with the owner, the C.P. Hart Design team specified a generous inset bath with an integrated shower, a reduced-depth vanity unit and mirror cabinet for ample storage, and a wall-hung WC mounted beneath decorative niches.
Brushed Gold brassware features throughout the bathroom, all specified from C.P. Hart’s exclusive and highly sought-after Epoch collection. In the shower, a three-way diverter controls the overhead shower, hand shower, and bath filler. The Epoch wall-mounted mixer was chosen for the basin, installed above the Cielo Shui Washbowl in ‘Muschio’ to free space on the Cubik vanity.
“We boxed out the back wall to give the impression of a more open space,” explains the designers. “This allowed the Cielo Oval mirror cabinet to sit on the wall without infringing on the basin, whilst also creating a distinct separation for the ‘White’ Luminous Lume tiles and providing a ledge for accessories.”
“To add more depth and visual interest, we replaced the ‘White’ Luminous Lume tiles with their ‘Green’ counterparts in each niche,” shares the team. “Both the niches and Astro Tacoma Twin light, installed above the mirror cabinet, are dimmable – the perfect year-round ambience setter.”
“The owner originally briefed a checkerboard floor, though upon review of the 3D visuals, we decided the black and white pattern would prove too strong a contrast against the bathroom’s finishes. Instead, we opted for softer stone-effect grey and cream checked tiles, boasting a similar weathered aesthetic to the wall tiling.”
Farrow & Ball’s ‘Middleton Pink’ finishes the bathroom with playful charm.

In collaboration with C.P. Hart’s professionally qualified Design team, the owners of Sundridge Park, a residential property in Kent, created three distinct bathrooms: a primary suite, a playful cloakroom, and a marble-adorned shower room.
“The vision for Sundridge Park’s primary suite revolved around their brief of a generous freestanding bath and a spacious walk-in shower,” the Design team recalls. “Favouring contemporary interiors with classical elements, they opted for the striking Amazzonite tiles from our Cosmopolitan collection, juxtaposed with a traditional cast iron bath and accompanying brassware.”
The owners specified C.P. Hart’s exclusive Camden bath, painted in a muted sage to accentuate the green highlights from the Amazzonite tiles. The suite’s brassware – a combination of our classical Original and Waterloo ranges – is finished in ‘Unlacquered Brass’, a characterful finish that will develop a unique patina over time.
For the vanity unit, IdeaGroup’s Smyle was a natural choice, specified for its meticulously fluted wooden fronts and impressive storage capacity. Twin Cielo Era washbowls, finished in ‘Lino’, were chosen for their unassuming simplicity, allowing the textures of the brass taps, vanity fronts, and stacked tile backdrop to sing.
“The shower room was conceived with meticulous attention to detail,” shares the Design team. “We extended the gold theme into this space, incorporating brassware selections from our Original and Waterloo ranges. To maintain a cohesive aesthetic, we colour-matched the brassware’s finish with the basin stand, towel radiator, and Matki Eauzone shower screens, strategically installed in the corner to optimise space.”
To add to the bathroom’s grandeur, the owners chose our Cosmopolitan Arabescato Oro marble-effect tiles. Crafted from rectified porcelain, these tiles not only exude the luxurious appearance of natural stone but also provide enhanced durability in a wet environment.
In contrast to the shower room, the cloakroom’s design draws on contemporary influences centred around the fluted concrete basin by British makers Kast. “The Kast Elm Mini basin is a true masterpiece. Specified in ‘Sage’ and mounted against soft blue stacked tiling, it perfectly sets the tone for the cloakroom.”
“We completed the basin with bespoke Samuel Heath unlacquered brass taps. Underfoot, wooden flooring owes the space its warmth whilst proving a functional choice for its hardwearing properties in a high traffic area.”
Featuring thousands of leading makers, Paris’s Maison et Objet fair is a global showcase that inspires all areas of design.
Yousef Mansuri, Director of Design at premium bathroom retailer C.P. Hart, visits this year’s event to uncover the five leading design concepts for the year ahead. From new, sought-after shades to travertine tiling, read on for the current trends influencing contemporary interiors.
Pantone’s Colour of the Year, ‘Peach Fuzz’ is a fresh and youthful shade nestled between pink and orange, exuding quiet sophistication with vintage charm.
This versatile hue lends itself to various surfaces across the bathroom, from painted walls to lacquered furniture and glazed tiles. Ideal for brightening dull spaces, Peach Fuzz effortlessly harmonises with a range of colours and tones, including warm neutrals, sage greens, and greys.
Organic, curvy, and free-flowing irregular shapes have come to the fore. Reminiscent of fluid ripples, puddles, lakes, and rivers, these non-geometric shapes and asymmetrical patterns break away from rigid lines and uniformity – a perfect counterbalance to the often-found harsh lines in bathrooms.
This trend celebrates the allure of imperfection, infusing spaces with dynamic movement, excitement, and a playful edge. Mirrors, tables, basins, baths, and rugs, this organic trend is anticipated to cascade further into 2024.
Caramel Latte is a soothing amalgamation of neutral tones, with a base of off-white, chalk, and milky cream, complemented by warming accents of beige, brown, honey, and caramel. A calming, peaceful palette, Caramel Latte is at home in both traditional and contemporary settings, emerging as the new ‘modern-day neutral.’
When incorporating Caramel Latte into the bathroom, begin with the softer, lighter hues and introduce accents of toasted caramel – particularly effective with softer shapes. Think lacquered basins and vanity units, tonal soft furnishings, light fittings, and rugs.
Texture remains a principal element in modern-day interiors, lending surfaces depth and a tactile quality reminiscent of the natural world.
Artisanal and handcrafted items, shaped from natural fibres through weaving, knotting, and intertwining, are a celebration of traditional craftsmanship and ingenious techniques, seamlessly integrating into contemporary design while embracing sustainability.
Rattan, cane, wicca, and straw – sourced from various palm species in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and Africa – are at the fore of this trend, with designers championing these materials through their choice of lamps, furniture, chairs, tableware, rugs, and art.
Travertine, a variation of porous limestone, is formed when mineral-rich water passes through sedimentary rocks, leaving deposits that gradually harden over time. This chemical process gives travertine its distinctive pitted texture and wavy pattern, rendering each piece unique.
Robust and hard-wearing, despite its porous nature, travertine is sought-after in contemporary design, used for tables, worktops, tiles, and bowls. Displaying varying tones and patterns, travertine sings when paired with natural wood and woven accessories.

Premium bathroom retailer C.P. Hart presents a series of all-new bathroom room set displays designed by Yousef Mansuri, C.P. Hart’s Director of Design. Created to inspire and refine product selection, the room sets are immediately available to view in their flagship Waterloo showroom, with bookings recommended to ensure the availability of a sales consultant.
Part of C.P. Hart’s annual launch, the room set displays showcase a breadth of classical and contemporary bathroom collections, featuring new-to-market products from world-leading makers, including Artelinea, Duravit, Samuel Heath, and more. Also featured is a selection of C.P. Hart’s new exclusivities, spanning ceramics, WCs, and brassware, only available from C.P. Hart.
Below, Yousef Mansuri walks us through three of the new C.P. Hart Waterloo room sets.
“This room set display demonstrates how small bathrooms can still feel airy and inviting. Here, I featured Artelinea’s compact Monolite vanity unit that provides invaluable storage with its two soft-close drawers, wall-mounted for additional floor space. The sit-on washbowl from our exclusive Kali ceramics range complements the curves of the mirror and WC – also part of the Kali collection – finished in Matt White and chosen for its premium surface-coating technology. To keep the vanity uncluttered, I opted for the Brushed Nickel wall-mounted basin mixer from our new and exclusive Flo brassware range.
The Matki Eauzone silver mesh wetroom panel adds depth to the scheme, created by encasing metallic mesh within two layers of safety glass for a characterful, hand-woven appearance. Opposite, I chose the Zehnder heated towel rail in the Volcanic finish, drawing on the wetroom panel’s darker tones.
Herringbone floor tiles are an excellent way to introduce pattern and texture into a scheme. For this bathroom, I chose to install Minoli’s Dreamwell tiles on both the floor and wall to create a greater sense of openness. The herringbone tiles are softened by the large format tiles on the side walls, also installed to ceiling height to maximise the neutral stone effect.”
“Bold and pattern rich, this impactful suite combines classical and contemporary styling. I chose Artelinea’s Kimono vanity for its intricate fluted detailing and curved front, which wonderfully offsets the harsh lines created from the edge of the tiled splashback.
Dramatic tiling was a significant focal point for this suite. As such, I selected the striking bookmatched crystal-effect tiles as a backdrop to the Bette One inset bath, clad in bespoke Black Stone with a step for easy access. The backsplash’s marble-effect tiling is continued into the shower, screened by the black-framed Border wetroom panel with fluted glass to complement the vanity unit.
Perhaps one of my favourite design elements, Samuel Heath’s new One Hundred brassware range is installed at the basin, bath, and shower. Finished in Stainless Steel, the brassware collection features translucent crystal glass and painstakingly knurled escutcheon detailing.”
“This suite presents a modernised British period suite showcasing the White Tulip collection, designed for Duravit by Philippe Starck – his first-ever complete bathroom range. Inspired by Starck’s love of natural forms, this Duravit collection features sophisticated sanitaryware, brassware, and soft-close furniture, all of which mimic the opening of a blooming tulip’s petals in an almost sculptural manner.
To utilise the vast floorplan, this bathroom features two basins – both from the White Tulip range – positioned at either end of the room. The first is the two-drawer vanity unit, finished with American Walnut drawer fronts to add warmth and tonal depth. The second is the rectangular basin on the metal console stand, complete with a display shelf and twin towel rings.
I chose to install the White Tulip mirrors above both vanity areas. Their LED lights emit a soft glow on all four edges, controlled via an app with a dimming function to create that perfect ambience.”
Please visit C.P. Hart Waterloo to view all room sets – only first-hand inspection proves true product quality. Though appointments are not required, C.P. Hart recommends booking an appointment ahead of your visit to ensure the availability of a sales consultant.

Premium bathroom retailer, C.P. Hart, works with architects, interior designers, and developers on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects, including new builds with distinctly modern aesthetics and high-end hotels inspired by classic British style.
C.P. Hart recently designed and supplied the luxury bathroom of Victoria Rise, an early Victorian property located in South London. Discover the inspiration, design, and featured products below.
The primary bathroom of Victoria Rise was once a small space comprising of a bath, with no shower, and a WC tucked tightly into the corner. C.P. Hart maximised the area by moving the entrance door, allowing the layout to be reimagined while creating room for a large walk-in shower. The new shower, enclosed with a Drench crittall-style matt black frame, features a Gessi shower system from the Tondo 300 range – a customisable private wellness collection that offers a spa-like experience.
“The client brought us an image of an eye-catching black and white hexagonal tile,” the C.P. Hart design team recall. “It sparked the idea for a bold monochrome scheme, which would also make the most of the original black cast iron fireplace.”
C.P. Hart’s exclusive Elter freestanding bath is complemented with a chrome bath and shower mixer from Italian maker, Gessi, coordinating with the basin mixers from the brand’s Eleganza collection. The C.P. Hart team designed the made-to-order double vanity basin unit to conceal pipework and incorporate the client’s desire for a marble top.
C.P. Hart transformed the limited space into a light and open bathroom that promotes wellness and relaxation, with a design that’s bold yet elegant, with a modern, linear style. “I wanted the client to be able to lie back and look out at the garden and sky,” the team explain, placing the freestanding bath adjacent to the statement floor to ceiling windows.
