From psychology and science to colour theory, forecasting and manufacturing; the SBID colour council sets the standard in the way interior design works with colours. They provide a knowledge of resource to designers for product development and share their experience on the influence of colour across all levels of design.
From news articles, journals and Q&As to live talks, debates and seminars, the SBID colour council provides expert guidance, inspiration and accuracy as well as helping each designer to improve their standards of practice.

Markus is the Global Head of RAL Colours and RAL Academy. Working in the field for more than 20 years, he has contributed his expertise to the colour world and to professionals who use colour in the areas of design. Under his leadership RAL Colours has evolved from a colour standardisation company to a design-orientated, award-winning company.
Vasiliki is a Group CEO of the Prestige Division of Unilever with 25+ years of international experience, leading a portfolio of 6 companies with global P&L responsibility and managing a networks of brands. She is a Fulright Scholar, recipient of the Kellogg Foundation Fellowship recognising female leaders and current Chairwoman of the Cosmetic Executive Women UK.
Marianne is the Creative Director of Dulux in the UK and Ireland with a career spanning 30 years. From studying Art at College to gaining a City & Guilds qualification in signwriting and decorating, she now works closely with creative disciplines while pursuing her career in colour, always seeking new ways of imagining the world through a palette of possibilities.
Paul Nulty started his career within lighting design 19 years ago. In 2006 FX Magazine named him one of the top six young lighting designers to watch. In May 2011 he founded Nulty, followed by Nulty Bespoke in 2016; specialising in the design and manufacture of custom-made handcrafted luminaires of the utmost quality.
Lucy graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Psychology, focusing on the psychology behind colour and its effect on mood. Over the past 7 years she has worked for manufacturers within the Interior Design industry, working alongside award-winning Interior Designers on projects across the UK and Internationally.
David is the General Manager of Craig & Rose with a career spanning 40 years. Through this experience internationally, David has worked with a number of retailers implementing colour strategy, including the product development process and marketing communications.
